Elisabeth Breslav donates royalties to the Red Cross
Elisabeth Hofboer Breslav’s wartime memoir, Five Years Under Nazi Occupation: A World War II Memoir of Resilience and Survival in the Netherlands, has touched many readers with this moving story of survival, courage and hope.
As a 12-year-old girl in Amsterdam, Elisabeth endured the horrors of the German occupation: bombings, hunger and the loss of her best friend and many classmates who never returned from the camps. Her story is a personal recollection.
Since the publication of the book, Elisabeth gave dozens of lectures in the United States. She decided to donate all royalties from her book to the Red Cross. Recently, Nedvision Publishing transferred these royalties on her behalf and received a nice thank-you letter.
